    Frequently asked questions
What nursery furniture does Baby Boutique Online offer?

Baby Boutique Online offers a selection of nursery and children's furniture, including wooden baby cots, baby bedroom in a box 5 in 1, compactums, changing trolleys, nursery rocking chairs, toddler and kids beds, mattresses and baby linen. Our range is designed to help you create a practical, comfortable and beautiful nursery for your little one.
Can I buy nursery furniture and baby linen together?

Yes. Baby Boutique Online offers nursery furniture alongside baby linen and other nursery essentials, making it possible to coordinate your nursery and shop for several of your baby's needs in one place.
What should I consider when choosing baby nursery furniture?

When choosing nursery furniture, consider the available space in your nursery, the dimensions of each item, how you intend to use the furniture and how the pieces will work together. For baby cots and other essential nursery furniture, always check the product specifications and safety information before purchasing.
What type of mattress do I need for a baby cot?

The correct mattress depends on the specific cot and its mattress dimensions. Always check the product specifications for the required mattress size before purchasing. The mattress should fit the cot correctly without unsafe gaps around the edges.
    Can you personalise nursery linen?

Yes! We offer personalised nursery linen, including name pillows, scatter cushions, blankets, cot linen and complete nursery sets.
What personalised nursery linen can I order?
    • Basic Set – Duvet & inner, scatter cushion, name cushion & cot pillow cover
    • Starter Set – Duvet & inner, braided bumper, cot pillow, name cushion & fitted sheet
    • Standard Set – Starter Set + scatter cushion, name cushion, baby blanket & fitted sheet
    • Nursery Set – Standard Set + change mat, dangles & baby nest

Want something different? We can also help create a personalised linen combination to suit your nursery.
What is the difference between a compactum and a changing trolley?

A compactum is a larger nursery furniture piece that generally combines a changing area with storage for clothing, nappies and other baby essentials. A changing trolley is a more compact and mobile option that can make it easier to keep changing supplies organised and move them around your nursery.
When should my child move from a baby cot to a toddler bed?

The timing depends on your child's development and the specific cot you are using. Signs that it may be time to consider a toddler bed can include your child attempting to climb out of the cot or becoming too tall for the cot. Always follow the manufacturer's guidance regarding the safe use of your particular cot.
Are nursery rocking chairs suitable for breastfeeding and feeding?

Nursery rocking chairs can provide a comfortable place for feeding, soothing and bonding with your baby. When choosing a rocking chair, consider the chair's dimensions, comfort, movement and how much space you have available in your nursery.
Can I view your nursery furniture before purchasing?

Selected nursery furniture can be viewed at our Glen Marais showroom in Gauteng on appoinment basis. If you would like to view a specific product, we recommend contacting us beforehand to confirm that the item is available to view.
Do you deliver nursery furniture in Gauteng?

Delivery availability depends on the product and your location. If you are in Gauteng, please check the individual product information or contact Baby Boutique Online to confirm delivery and assembly options for your chosen furniture.
